Echoes is a series of monoprints based on memories of places I have visited or things that I have seen in the past. In sonic terms, Echoes, are a repetition of sound but with each iteration the sound loses some of its initial quality. The same can happen with memories – they can fade with time so that we can remember the basic form of a place we have visited or objects that we have seen but with time the certain details can be missing. I wanted to bring in the filmic qualities of these fading memories almost as if we were thinking of them in terms of an 8mm home movie.
